Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

On my 07 Cayman base, the TPS and maintenance warning lights are on. I have raised the tire pressure to 58 as recommended by a repair shop to reset the system for the TPS but no change. I live in a small town that does not have a Porsche dealer or repair shop to plug in to find out what the codes are about. I do my own maintenance and would like to clear the warning lights. Any Ideas?

POST 2Original post

The sensors last 5-10 years, so quite possible one or more has a dead battery. If you have access to the Durametric software you can check sensor battery status. If that's the problem then any decent tire shop should be able to replace the sensors. I bought replacements from Tire Rack and my tire guy installed them no problem.
