Hi, Picked up a new 2.7 in UK about two weeks back, but have been playing with the BOSE system constantly trying to work out why I'm experiencing the same issues that have already been posted here to date i.e. muddy sound lack of midrange etc. I've come to the conclusion that the System is actually perfect, but there seems to be a disconcerting audio deadspot to the left of the drivers head position (i.e. changing balance to left side of car makes no difference). I'm assuming that Porsche and Bose had a cabin mock up when they developed this system, but something doesn't seem to add up. The only way through this issue I can see at present is to use the fader control in place of the appropriate equalisation settings. Each CD and Radio station I've listened to so far seems to require a different fader setting to minimise the effect of this dead spot. Once optimised the sound quality is acceptable, but never crisp even with the treble at +9. I've tried all the permutations of AP and surround settings with engine both on and off, but nothing short of the fader makes any real difference. Does anyone out there concur with this conclusion or am I missing something?

I've noticed that it's hard to get a crisp defined upper midrange. Especially if you use the surround. I've found the best sound quality with Surround and Audio Pilot off, fade to rear about 4 or 5, balance centered.
