Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Black isn't so common these days and not everyones no.1 ...for me to hard to keep clean...thats why dark blues Ocean etc are popular for those that like darker shades, silver hides dirt very well and is also popular.

Suggestion
I would never have a black,green,beige/gold car, white seams to be the in colour at the moment but in a year or two will be hard to sell.Silver cars look good, easy to keep clean and is probably my favourite colour but my last three cars have been silver and I fancied a change so bought one in Cobalt Blue which is a loverly colour.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Would be interested in views on colours.
I know is a personal thing, but would it be right to say that Black is generally regarded as the no.1 choice? Followed by silver? Is Blue the least sought after? But what about Cobalt Blue?
Black interior seems to be the default choice.
And the big question, what effect does it have on value and saleability. It seems to me that plain Blue trades at 5-10% discount to the rest of the market.
A lot is down to personal preference, when we were looking, we were only interested in 1 colour - Ocean Blue.
I think any dark metallic will be sought after, along with silver.

Cobalt is a superb 911 colour.
As a snap shot we have listed the colours/cars that are meeting Sunday at the end of the thread. I think that is a good representative sample.
I'd love a black 930 or 964 Turbo....Bad Boys and all that.
The best colour is the one you like best...
Unless you are buying new (or are really gullible and get stitched up) the price you pay will already reflect the general popularity / saleability of the colour.
The UK is unique in that we are all told to choose the colour for the next owner, rather than what we like :frustrated: :frustrated: :frustrated:
A 911 is a dream car - don't spoil it by getting your 3rd or 4th colour choice (unless that's the perfect car in every other respect of course).
I agree its down to personal taste.

If I was buying a new porsche it would be in GT silver.
When I look at car brochures from different makes I seam to always think that three quarters of the colours are bloody horrible and some of the nice colours are in a shitty shade. But I guess people buy them.
Just my opinion,if we were all the same life would be boring.
Ian.
Agree with the above - a matter of personal taste. My personal favorite is Seal (now called Meteor) Grey - I think a 911 looks fabulous in it. previously had a 996 Targa in Seal Grey - just gorgeous. Now have 997 C4S in Arctic Silver which is pretty nice too!
I agree with the concensus that you should buy YOUR car for you, not the next owner. But it is good to hear there are no major prejudices out there. Having said that I would guess the yellows and reds will have a smaller market, because most of us are Brits are a bit sake and conservative.
