Stock ride height already has me super worried about hitting the oil pan on any steep elevation changes especially when paired with rain gutters.

Suggestion

I have sliplo on my Alpina B7's and on my Porsche 996 Aero which is very low, and a few other cars - simple and easy to apply and replace once worn.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just had the front and rear clips repainted. My car is low, on Eibach sport springs and Koni yellows, and will catch some driveways/entrances no matter how careful I am. Looking for a front guard option in plastic or aluminum to attach via adhesive or screws. I've looked at SlipLo, seems low rent. Anyone have ideas or experience? (and yes, I did a detailed search already...)

POST 2Original post

I have sliplo on my Alpina B7's and on my Porsche 996 Aero which is very low, and a few other cars - simple and easy to apply and replace once worn. You will not see it and it protects as necessary. Much rather hear it scrape than the bumpers...

POST 3Original post

Would look at PPF, especially if you just repainted your front bumper. Been a life saver for myself and friends with similarly low cars susceptible to scrapes/chips.

POST 4Original post

How is owning a lowered 996? Stock ride height already has me super worried about hitting the oil pan on any steep elevation changes especially when paired with rain gutters. The answer you are looking for is PPF. Expensive, but borderline magical on how well it's able to protect against dents and dings.

POST 6Original post

I just ordered a new lip for my C4S and I am thinking to try sliplo on it. My current lip was painted by the previous owner to match the car and had unfortunately been beat up.
