When will there be a Porsche kit to do this properly? BMW, Mercedes and most others can manage it. It is a disgrace that we need to use the Gateway 500. How can I find out when?

No I think he knows he has to go he Dension route if he wants a directly connected iPod, he's asking When Porsche will offer it from the factory. My guess is with the Panamera in 2009 or whenever it comes out...

For what it's worth, when I ordered my car (April'07) the dealer said that they were expecting Porsche to release an OEM kit within the next three months, supposed to be able to be retro-fitted. I asked them again a couple of weeks back and it was still expected soon...... I agree, it's lame that it's not even an option. That has definitely been discussed before though

It would be nice if they would have a factory option, but I ordered a GW500 yesterday, so it's really a non-issue now. Now if my car would get here. The wait is killing me.

I think Porsche would rather just add iPod integration to new cars to give owners another reason to trade their existing ones in. I'm not holding my breath for a Porsche integration kit.

K Man S got it right Mr Swancoat. I have a Gateway fitted and it's poor compared to other OEMs. My Mercedes CLS system is fantastic. Come on Porsche invest a little of your time. Good news if Stueys is right.

I'm there on the 24th so I'll ask for an update (right after they fix the clutch ) Hopefully there is some truth in it, only caveat is that is was one of the sales guys who told me.
