I�ve decided not to go through the dealership due to the cost, and will be using Brembo OEM rotors paired with Endless MX72 pads.

Hi Team 996 I�ll be replacing the rotors and pads shortly, along with installing a GT3 master cylinder (braided lines are already fitted). I�ve decided not to go through the dealership due to the cost, and will be using Brembo OEM rotors paired with Endless MX72 pads. Before settling on this setup, I did request a quote from my local dealer for a full brake reline. Their quote included the additional items listed below. Endless advises that their pads already incorporate integrated anti‑squeal and anti‑rattle features. With that in mind, I�m trying to determine whether the additional items are actually necessary. Can the existing components be reused if they�re already in place? And should the caliper bolts be replaced as a precaution, or are they fine to reuse? 99635108802 - Damping Plate - 2 per side so 8 total 99907340201 - calliper bolt (2 per side so 8 in total) 99635208602 and 99635208600 - Pad shims

The ahims rf up to u. Some say they reduce noise. Most if the time u can just reuse the old stuff if its there. The bolts r the big one (not that expensive but important). U dont replace them because they streched or may break but because they r a steel bolt into aluminum. The aluminum collects on the bolt threads and can gall up the treads. This can bugger up the upright. A lubricant should be uses but antisieze is not correrct. I use locktight purple as it will help prevent galling. It also helps prevent corrosion because it seals the threads. So either replace or clean real well and protect. Amazon Amazon

The damping plates are used in the front, two sized shims in the rear. The plate can sometimes be seized in the piston and hard to remove. Possibly needing to remove the piston from the caliper. This will just call for bleeding that caliper. The shims are springs so easy to pop off and reinstall. As Aaron says definitely new bolts.
