Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Outcome without a verified action link

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

just fitted the ipod adaptor lead from Pioneer to my avic f900bt and nothing happens... After checking the pioneer website it transpires that the unit is not compatible with my ipod touch! Avic software is only compatible with ipods released between sept 05 and sept 07. anyone know of a fix other than buying an old ipod? Also, on the pioneer website is a list of phones with bluetooth compatibility to the Avic - my Sony Ericcson W910i is not one of them.

POST 2Original post

Not sure about the ipod bit but the phone thing should be fine - my Sony Ericsson C902 is too new for the compatibility list but works just fine I have an Avic D3bti but its much the same I suspect

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

On the Pioneer website is a long list of phones, some models are compatible and some are not, mine is not! I have tried pairing it, the phone sees the nav but the nav cannot see the phone :nooo:

POST 4Original post

It might be worth trying updating the software on the F900BT - I did it on mine and it's a straightforward process. It fixed a couple of issues with the camera warnings. If yours is prior to v1.9 it's definitely worth doing. I have the SE w810i and it paired fine. I had issues with the phonebook synchronising, but I found a program to edit the phonebook on my PC and then transfer it to the AVIC. Did you know that the operating system is Windows CE, and you can boot it to a Windows desktop? There is loads of info on www.avic411.com and it's well worth a look. The guys on there have done some DIYs and hacks.

POST 5Original post

Thats a bummer then - older ipod and newer phone required Perhaps there is a deal to be done there with someone?

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yes, one of the lads at work offered me £60 for the Avic... It works with the ipod nano that I got the wife for christmas so happy days! Just need to get a new phone now, I'm about due for the annual free upgrade and I will be glad to get rid of the sony ericcson w910i, it is the most unreliable phone I have had in 15 years!
