If you're up north you can get the fronts changed for £470 + vat and the rears changed for £450 + vat at Sports & Classic in Knutsford.

Just though I would let you all know about an absolute bargain I have picked up recently :thumbs:
Having finally taken the plunge and deciding to change my front Disks along with the due pad change, I started looking round for some new front disks. After a while I started thinking of selling my Son so I could buy just the disks.
Luckily I came across a porsche parts company selling on ebay and got the whole lot for £242.00, and it got delivered the next day!!! Thats £242.00 all in for original Porsche items, they had even still got the official 996- part number stickers on. Included in the pack are:
Two OEM Front Vented Cross Drilled Brake Disks
1 Set of Textar Front Brake Pads
2 Brake Wear sensor leads
4 Anti Squeal shims
4 Caliper bolts (to hold the caliper to the hub
uh: )
I am well impressed and saved myself over £200 over the equivelant set from elsewhere!!!

The price of the front brake disc and pads have just increased to £254.24 due to the Euro exchange rate.
I got my set for £237.00.A £5 reduction on the old price as I rang them and paid by card as they saved some ebay and Paypal fees.

Called up marque21... they prices are still quite high compared to design911... but there are two noticeable difference.
- Supplied with bolts (around £3.50 each, 2 per caliper)
- They brake disc manufacturer they use are Zimmermann brand.
For front+rear package marque21 sell@ £493.77 (incl) ,whereas design911 sell at £444.15. Even with the bolts they still work out around £45more expensive (incl delivery, as I would pickup from design911 from their Hainault branch)....
So basically, the question is, anyone heard of this brand?
- Is it any good compared with Serbo who I believe design911 use...?

Zimmermanns are OK, they just don't have painted centres like the Sebros, which are indistinguishable from Porsche ones.

I HOPE that Chelsea Carrera can Skim my disks, they have a slight lip on the top of the rear, Will thought mabe he could, depends on how rusty the backs are! If not will need new Discs from here too.
Was passing OPC Porsche West London on Saturday, popped in to get a quote and look under my car etc, for new Discs and pads (plus shims etc) it was an INCREDIBLE £871 inc VAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Plus they are the smarmiest gits ever!
parts were £550 alone! F*** that for a game of soldiers!!
I need a rear set, so phoned Marque 21 today, the results are: -
