As suggested on the forum I have tried blowing out the lines on the charcoal canister, replaced the vapor canister purge valve, regeneration valve, fuel cap, and cleaned the MAF.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have been chasing the solution to these codes on my 2003 996 C4s for almost a year now. I have done a lot of research on the forum but still can come up with a fix. The P0446 is Porsche fault code 95 shutoff valve for the activated charcoal filter and P1109 is Porsche fault code 594 for input variables charge measurement. As suggested on the forum I have tried blowing out the lines on the charcoal canister, replaced the vapor canister purge valve, regeneration valve, fuel cap, and cleaned the MAF. Does everyone really think the canister might be the issue? its the only thing I have not replaced.... The thing that sucks as once I fix/replace something and clear these codes sometimes it takes as much as 300 miles to resurface. I have noticed it seems to take the car longer and longer to get through the readiness and eventually triggers the light.

POST 3Original post

Did u check the valve on top of the fuel tank. Have u tested it to see if it closes? If that valve is good u have to see if its actually getting the signal to close. If not u need to check wire continuety back to dme. Same thing for the regen valve that goes into the throttle body. I had bad pins in my dme plug due to a tech speading the teeth with too big of a probe. This cause a random o2 issue 4 me. Im pretty sure the piwis can triger both of these on command. Another thing to try is to smoke test the intake. Its seams suspicious that the regen valve goes into the tb and u r getting a code for both? Should be part #9.
