Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

If that doesn't show anything up then the annual check thing is a non-issue in my opinion FWIW.

There are a few other things to check which should be done on a time basis rather than mileage.

If in doubt, and as most do, get it inspected independently for pay OPC for the priveldge for your peace of mind.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi guys,
I have a simple philosophy, when you don't know the answer, but know people that do, ask them!
I have found a 2002 tiptronic 996tt, that's done 51000 mile and has many extras, however, the service history isn't perfect.
It has had every service, on time or early, at a Porsche main dealer, however, has missed a couple of 'annual maintenance' checks. In the cars defence, between the services, it had done less than 4000 miles, but never the less, missed the checks.
Is this really an issue and with everything else being right, is £30k a good deal. It's silver with black leather. :dont know:
To be honest, I like it, but can't see me keeping it more than a couple of years, but as this is a LOT of money for me, it's only right I know all the facts before parting with the cash.
As always, I value your opinions and you won't offend me. If you ask me one on event horses, I might be able to repay the favour/information!
:dont know:

A big big big bone of contention this one!!
Ok a car has a "PERFECT" service book from an OPC. Looks great, ticks all the right boxes and so on!
Still doesn't tell you if the previous owner or one before that got in the car and hammered it from cold or not?!
I am in a similar dilema in selling my car soon and then looking for a "great" replacement!! :dont know: :dont know:
How do I find that illusive car that has been well cared for?? deep sigh
The Annual check doesn't really involve any work, mostly visual inspection - If thats all that missing, then I wouldn't let it bother you.
Check invoices to see what work has been carried out... Im exactly not sure what would of been done on a tt but it should of had it major (incl sparks/polybelt) done at 48K
If in doubt, and as most do, get it inspected independently for pay OPC for the priveldge for your peace of mind.
30k for an 02 Tip is reasonable, but not cheap
Theyre certainly about for that money or less, mainly depending on spec
As above, teh annual inspection wouldnt worry me too much as long as the servicing was carried out to schedule by miles or time
Whatever you do get it inspected first
not exactly expensive either. Cheap, rhymes with heap, a 100k car needs money spent to keep it in good condition. Buy on condition and get an inspection.
Cafsar makes the points to check out if you really like the car.
My 2003 996 Carrera 2 Manual with only 26000 miles on the clock and a complete service history with no gaps is cheaper however!
Regards Big Bob
If you are going to buy one then get a professional pre-purchase inspection. If that doesn't show anything up then the annual check thing is a non-issue in my opinion FWIW.
There are a few other things to check which should be done on a time basis rather than mileage. The service book has pages to be signed to show things such as airbag services, brake fluid changes etc. If these were not carried out then it could be a sign that the car has not been well looked after.
50k ish miles
Silver
Black leather
02 facelift features
30k £ about the average price. All the desirables are contained for the populus of buyers.
There are some cheaper on offer but not without all the desirable features this car has.
Drive it
like it
P Inspect it
Consider the findings
Haggle for it(use the missing stamp as a lever of course)
Buy it or walk away
Some cars are use as orniments and miss services due to the perception that milage covered does not warrant one- Quite wrong imo.
As a potential buyer of this car(if it was a manual) the missing stamp would not put me off. Nor will it when I finally push on and buy one.
JFDI
In my opinion the finest sports cat available for the money at the moment
My spec (looking for)
Manual
996 TT 01/02 and on, facelift
pcm would be nice
Black/grey leather
sunroofHistory not fussed if its not OPC
Proof of work completed is more important than stamps in a book
up to 55k miles Won't stop there though!
