He was revving away waiting for the lights to change and when he set off to my amazement it made a wicked growl - sounded fab.

There I was sat behind a 17 year old skinheads vauxhall nova with all the body panels you could add, dice, clarion sun strip, massive exhaust etc etc. He was revving away waiting for the lights to change and when he set off to my amazement it made a wicked growl - sounded fab. Get the PSE system retrofitted - pricey but superb!
Alternatively aftermarket options like Tubi, or RSR exchange exhausts.

I fitted the Oettle mufflers and new tips last week. Bargain at £320 quid and sounds fantastic. Driving with the windows down at every opportunity. Sounds so much better than any 4 pot.
Bought through ebay for £320. Very quick service and excellent kit. the units are reconditioned after being internally modified and have bypass pipes welded on it. Thoroughly recommend.
Sounds like a large lion growling in that low slow deep fashion they do at low speed and a nice deep howl at higher revs.

Ive also added at the same time a pair of new Schnell tips suggested by Chauch on the exhaust tips thread a month or so ago from Vertexauto in the USA. Sells for $149 plus P&P which is about £109 total inc post. Ignore the suggestion it only fits up to 2001 models. Fits em all, mine is a facelift 2002. Link here:-

Nothing technical involved. Quite easy in that respect but usual problem with rusted fittings and so forth. When the car is up on stands and the wheel off its not too tricky. technique is all and if youve done an exhaust before its fairly straightforward. I might put up an online guide soon but no pics alas.
sounds interesting as im happy to have a go at these things. Given that a lot of bits may be rusted on. is there a set if bits needed (brackets and bolts etc that i need to arm myself with before hand)?
