Suggestion

I am getting the LN pan installed this month because I am doing about 5-6 track weekends a year, with annual fluid change I do not want to replace the plastic pan every year, I am not sure if a I need a cooler for 4-5 25 minute sessions.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

I'm looking at a PDK Transmission cooling kit and want to get a feel from the ground if there's a difference between either of the two kits? Not sure if I'm allowed to post their links here, so let me know if I can.

POST 2Original post

The LN kit uses a coolant based heat exchanger and is very simple and effective. The BGB kit uses and air to trans fluid heat exchanger so the potential cooling is much better. It does use an electric pump and mount the heat exchanger in the front of the car to get proper air flow. For ease of install on a street/trackday car I'd go with LNE, for a racecar I'd go BGB.

POST 4Original post

Depends a lot on the temperatures at the track. With 90+ ambient temps I see aggressively driven PDKs in limp mode regularly at track days.

POST 5Original post

Thanks Joshua, I'm getting an LSD installed, and I've got 80-100F ambient temps here at the equator. I just want to make sure I don't boil the PDK an LSD . I understand one is for the transmission and the other is for the differential. and If I have to do 1 first, what would you suggest? I've got a Low Temp Thermostat replacing the standard one already.
