Hi everyone, after a lot of searches about rattling gearbox I finally remove the PDK gearbox From my Cayman S PDK 2009 987.2 The result is the dual mass flywheel from LUK is to be replaced ( locking, grease coming out and mixing with oil,...). So could any people with experience guide me on the choice: genuine Porche LUK DMF ASCOO lightweight SMF i go on track drifting once a month but my main concern is about engine safety as mine has already 216000 km / 135000 miles. The car is also my daily driver but it is already equipped with monoballs So no too concern about noises Thanks for your help

What LSD did you install with your PDK ? Also, what coilover package?

Hi ApeX, i plan to install the Wavetrac at the same time than the new flywheel as the gearbox is out of the car. Coilover are Öhlins with custom monoball heads PS: last month a mechanic destroyed the PDK control unit and had to ask Porsche to replace it. Since then I can fully use the AP 3 I bought with you last year.

I didn't think the PDK used a flywheel. Does AASCO make a drive plate for it? I wasn't able to find anything by searching for " PDK " on their website.

That is a common mistake told on internet. The PDK has a DMF from LUK to link the engine and the double clutches. For the ones that believe only what they can see here is the pic of mine

Ok the answer from both mechanics is keep Dual Mass Flywheel because PDK clutches are wet type and not dampened.
