Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I am sure I have seen threads regarding this, could it be the battery on the way out (haven't had problems startiing though and use the car almost every day - though obviously not today).

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just got a calll from my neighbour to say the windows of my C4S were both open. :? It looks like they have both gone down overnight. I am sure I have seen threads regarding this, could it be the battery on the way out (haven't had problems startiing though and use the car almost every day - though obviously not today). Of course last night when I was fumblling with the front door I may have, held the keyfob button down, which auto opens everything - but the sunroof wasn't open so I don't think that can be it. Any ideas ?

POST 2Original post

It is a microsensor in the locking mechanism. Had exactly the same problem a while back. OPC Warranty covered it otherwise a £300 bill.

POST 3Original post

It might have been that, because the sunroof will close when you hold the button when locking, but it doesn't open when you hold the button while unlocking. You would have had to have been holding the button for 5-10 seconds while the windows were opening though. The car will have re-locked the doors after 60 seconds, but the windows would have stayed down.
