from memory I had 225/40 F and 265/35 R but looking at Michelin site and after typing in my plate (correct car comes out) they recommend 235/40 F and 285/30 R ?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

just completer refurb of my original split rims 18' BSS 7.5 fronts and 10 rears from my c2 MY98 (amber lights) , looking to get new tires for them black circles have 15% offer this weekend so 4x PS2's working out below £500 delivered. thinking about getting them . a bit confused on sizes thou. from memory I had 225/40 F and 265/35 R but looking at Michelin site and after typing in my plate (correct car comes out) they recommend 235/40 F and 285/30 R ? any ideas?

POST 3Original post

I think the first figures you give are for 996.1 and the second for 996.2. there is an official Porsche classic pdf out there in the web which gives the dims direct from Porsche. You can also check your door jambs and owners manual. For me less tyre is generally better. It's not like the car has trouble putting down its power as is! I loved the PS2 on my old M3, very progressive breakaway.

POST 4Original post

996.1 generally 225 front 265 rear, as Alex says they all fit so it's really up to you. 235 is the maximum you can put on a 7.5 wheel but you can make it work also

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

ordered. 2x 225's and 2x 265's to keep with originality . PS2 N3 rated . just under 500£ delivered. pretty good, hey?

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

had 2x rears delivered this morning with delivery note from another dealer and invoice address to black circles . 1x front turned up this afternoon , from yet another dealer - same delivery note. still missing 1x front! on positive note all 3x tyres are brand spanking new, proper n3 rating and with 2020 manufacturing date
