Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi All, Hope you're well. To cut a long story short, I've got a few extra pixels on my climate control unit (probably as a result of a harsh winter and low battery - only found out on startup!) Anyhoo, I'm expecting the worst - £500 for a replacement, but hoping for the best: a quick and easy fix I see a few on ebay for about £150, which still stings a bit tbh. Is it common and reparable? Cheers, Dan

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

POST 5Original post

Looks like a pretty standard LCD leak, not sure where you found them for £150 on ebay but this is £47.95, had the same kit myself, dead easy fix 30 mins worst case. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Porsche-...629765?hash=item2f5280b5c5:g:HeEAAOSwo4pYd6WV If it is a board problem issue which I'm pretty certain it's not by the picture. It's worth noting the old Audi A3 climate controller like below has the exact same circuit board inside to swap in and cost a fraction of the cost second hand than the Porsche units do. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/362034564188?var=0&&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-

Cheers for the links and info guys Really helpful - I've heard back from the guys at frazerpart now Looks pretty straightforward tbh (I've had the dash apart before when installing the new stereo). FYI, the £150 comment was referring to a replacement unit - before I knew you could just replace the LCD (so deffo worthwhile posting the question :worship: ) Will have a look further and get an order in - just have to find some time to do it now DAn
