Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I used a liquid dye which had a tinge of red, then used a restoration black polish and it was perfect.

One of the things I will be doing is changing the handbrake for a black one, my question is can I just swap them over by slackening off the double adjusting lock nuts, removing grey handbrake and replacing with black handbrake and retightning the cable with the double locknut or will I have to go to the back wheels and adjust each wheel separately as well.
Leading evidence: 'Use liquid dye' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Adjust each wheel separately as well' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. I like the idea of using dye to change the colour of the vents, they look smart.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

I am soon to be changing some interior bits on my Gen 1 Carrera 4, at the moment it has grey interior and I aim to change some of the interior to black.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Thanks
You should be able to swap it as you suggest.
I looked at a car with a grey interior but settled on black because the grey seems to age less gracefully than black. Hope your car doesn't look too much of a bitsa.
I actually like the grey interior of my car
what I did though is to get some carbon dipped parts which really gives a nice contrast; not as good as real carbon clearly but about 1/5th the price!
I have purchased black Porsche mats, also going to take the centre consul out and spray it black, retrim the centre armrest with black leather with grey stitching, also the gear gaiter and the two pads where your knees rub against black leather with grey stitching.
I will see how that looks then take it from there.
With regards to the handbrake, just unwind the locking and setting nuts right off the threaded bar and pull the radial cable clamp off. Leave the cables attached in it with the spring clip holding them in. Just slide the cable clamp on to the new handbrake threaded bar and refit nuts. Can be quite fiddly trying to get those cables in the clamp.
This is the clamp I mean (big silver block in middle):
I put a black handbrake, tunnel, seats and floor mats in my grey interior,. Oh and the little seat pads for the rear are black. I think it looks great!!
Thanks for that Alex, much appreciated.
The interior will have to wait for a while now, just noticed today I have a oil leak, can't actually see where it's coming from, it looks like it's too far forward to be the RMS, also the RMS was done 1000 miles ago with the IMS.
It's booked into the garage to be looked at on Monday, hope it's not too serious.
Remember, you can just dye quite a few bits black. I dyed a handbrake, came out fine. I used a liquid dye which had a tinge of red, then used a restoration black polish and it was perfect. One of these used to be neophrite green:
Ive got a black handbrake with grey interior. Im also going to subtly change a few bits. Ive just bought another centre arm rest im going to retrim in alcantara to match the gear gator.
