Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

The long search and wait's over, I've been looking for just over a year! I've just collected my C4S. Manual, Artic Silver with Metropole blue leather interior 57K miles full Porsche and specialist service history and serviced yearly irrespective of mileage. Supplied to the last owner by Paul Stephens Porsche specialists back in 2013 and has covered only 7K miles since.
Spec includes PSE, Bose, non sun roof with a tasteful list of extras – white dials, aluminium interior pack, stainless steel entry guards and rear PDC.
The car was sourced and supplied by Friends Green Porsche (thanks FGP team) and they have been over it with a fine-tooth comb and have done the following – IMS, new clutch, RMS, suspension arms and links where required, top mounts and bump stops, AC system overhaul including new condensers etc. Major service inc plugs and brake fluid flush, new water pump and low temp stat. Brakes are nearly new having been replaced all round 4K miles ago. FGP's OCD on detail is a match for mine!
Why a 996 C4S? I just like them, I know it's not one for some purists who prefer the narrow body and RWD. I also like the fact that the 996 represents a major step in the Porsche evolution to water cooled from air cooled (again many purists might disagree) but Porsche had to go water cooled to survive regards emissions regs etc. I also like the headlamps (shock) different to previous generations but classic all the same in my eyes... if everything stayed the same there would be no evolution.
I know this sort of post is no good without a photo so here's a poor one. More to follow when I have a moment and the sun is out.

Congrats on the 4S, looks nice and FGP seem to do some pretty good prep on their cars and i enjoy their videos.
Suspect the sound of the PSE will be most of what you'll be listening to :thumb:
Along with COVID ands lockdown there seamed to be very few 996's especially C4S's for sale during Q4 2020. I had a list of prerequisites which ruled out many. I looked (online) at 3 or 4 but I didn't get any good feelings about the cars or the dealers to be honest, some unbelievable attitudes by some! I then thought I'd give FGP a go as I had watched their videos etc. Why it took me so long to contact them god knows. Anyway FGP got straight back to me with a short list of ones they had in the pipeline. One stood out and that became mine.
The service FGP gives is unique in my experience, it's like an bespoke service and that's on top of the rigorous prep work they do.

The Youtube prep videos seem to sell most of FGP's cars before people have even looked at them. It's a sales model which appears to work well.
Far better than a standard walk around, when you can see what they've inspected and replaced. It's also nice to get a good look underneath a car before deciding to buy. They clearly know this model well too.
It takes a lot of the risk out of buying a 996.
