Similarly franchises like Stratstone, JCT600, Sytner and Jardine run a few but would only have a database details covering their own group.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Each individual OPC that has worked on the car will have records for what they have done ..
Hi all
I've been doing a bit of work on my car recently and noticed that in it's lifetime there seems to be evidence of bank two having work done on it. I can see gasket material on the head, and newer exhaust manifold studs. I can't find any reference to any of the potential work done in the history folder, and the service record book only showing it's servicing at the intervals required, and then later by independents with clutch replacement etc.. I rang the supplying dealer who confirmed the servicing they carried but could only tell me that it matched what I have in the book, although they did tell me of a battery replacement I had no record of but stating that their systems had changed and any detail was not available anymore.
My question is, would the service/work history be backed up centrally by Porsche UK or Porsche itself so I can find out what engine work had been done?
Thanks
Andrew
The only 'network' for official Porsche service history would be across the specific franchise owners of the Porsche Centres that supplied your car.
If you have contacted the supplying dealer they would only know of servicing or work done by them and any others within their 'group'.
If the car has any servicing stamps from other OPCs or Independents you'd need to contact them.
The independents, to be fair have given written reports of the work they carried out, clutch, flywheel, condensers, and exhaust etc. It's just nothing from the OPC so it's why I was asking if it would logged via database.
Thanks Andrew
There's no such database sadly.
Porsche Great Britain through their Retail Group only run 5 of the OPCs so even they wouldn't know anything outside of that.
Similarly franchises like Stratstone, JCT600, Sytner and Jardine run a few but would only have a database details covering their own group.
As above ..
Also if a car is in warranty and brought into an OPC with a fault .. the OPC will fix it but not detail the work done on a zero cost invoice ..
The customer is merely told the car has been fixed and there is unlikely to be a paper trail .
Each individual OPC that has worked on the car will have records for what they have done .. i'm not sure but possible data protection might stop them giving out that sort of info.
Cam covers are often removed for leaks ... exhaust manifold may have just been blowing .. other than that i could go with head gasket .. pretty dam rare or a cracked head which has been replaced .
Thanks all, as I suspected to be honest. I was just curious to see if anything sinister had happened that wasn't in the history file, there's nothing like writing it down!
