Hi all Quick question, how do all you home oil changers prevent the initial firing when you turn the engine over to get oil pressure before actual ignition, fuel pump fuse, if so which one is it and does it produce a fault code? Many thanks Andrew

If it's just a normal oil change just start the car. You will have oil pressure pretty much instantly. The oil pump and galleries will still have oil in them. A fresh engine build is a different story however!! I'm sure others will chime in and disagree but that's my opinion after thousands of oil changes and many engine builds.

As Parsley says, not something to worry about really and being a boxer layout, it's not like an inline 4 or 6, where the oil's got to travel up to the top of the engine.
