Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

If it was low I'd recommend checking the oil pressure relief valve but your values seem to be about normal.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have a 2006 c2 that has fresh oil change with filter, Mobil 1 0/40# and I get 5 bar oil pressure after warm up still get 5 bar at 4000 rpm and at idle get 2+bar. I I think it is supposed to be 3.5 bar at 3000 rpm. Where should I look to correct the problem? gauge or sensor or both? __________________ This post was auto-generated based upon a question asked on our tech article page here:

POST 2Original post

3.5 bar at 3000 RPM seems low to me. I am not aware of a spec for oil pressure at 3000 RPM. If it was low I'd recommend checking the oil pressure relief valve but your values seem to be about normal. - Casey

POST 3Original post

The only certain way to confirm oil pressure is with a good mechanical gauge . Your pressure seems normal to me but if it is way off the first suspect is usually the sending unit
