Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

You'll need to replace all the eccentric adjuster bolts on your rear lower arms to as they'll be seized in.

The eccentric bolts were about £15 each from OPC a few years ago, allow 30 min each to cut through the seized bolts using a hacksaw with extended blade.

As it would make a nice saving over using originals or Meyle parts.

Have just done a complete suspension refresh on mine using spyder parts from eBay, Koni special active shocks and -30mm eibach progressive springs, new drop links, top mounts etc etc ......it gets a full geo on tuesday!
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I'm putting a list together of items I will be addressing over the coming months on my recently purchased 996.2 C2. As she has 90K on the clock and doesn't have suspension work in the history file I think this is the first item on the list. I will be looking at Mayle parts (rear first as this was picked up in a condition inspection list a couple of thousand miles ago (2018)). Can anybody advise the best supplier \ deals etc?
eBay, carparts4less and Autodoc (or onlinecarparts - same company) are my usual preferred places dependant on cost. Personally I'd just get the cheapest coffin arms if the cars just for general road use as the prices are eye wateringly different.
Example:
STARK Track Control Arm - £33:
https://www.autodoc.co.uk/stark/7935731
MEYLE -ORIGINAL Quality Track Control Arm - £114: ttps://www.autodoc.co.uk/meyle/7003158
Times those by 4
You'll need to replace all the eccentric adjuster bolts on your rear lower arms to as they'll be seized in. The job of removing these can be quite costly.

Perfectly timed thread as I'm looking at doing my 96K C2 as well.
Looking about Spyder Performance do some well priced suspension parts that are made in Germany and come with 2 year warranty.

Does anyone have direct experience of using their products? As it would make a nice saving over using originals or Meyle parts.
Just be mindful of postage / customs duty when ordering stuff from Europe. I've seen a few stories in the press recently of an extra bill on arrival of goods.
Bought my spyder parts through eBay, just watch the items for a while and you sometimes get a message offering discount a few days later.
Only just done the coffin arms so just have about 20 miles on them but fitted the tuning forks in the middle of summer and no issues with them.
I thought the TVR "tax" was bad £123 for 2 bolts nuts and washers!
I've ordered 4 "Stark" track control arms. I think I may re-bush the old parts.
Any idea what I can do with the headlights? seem to be discoloured internally
Only way to remove that is bake/pry off covers and polish. I have a small amount, think it's from halogen bulbs overheating the plastic locally (over many years/hours)
For the rear coffin arms the best advice i found was to cut through the alloy coffin arm and remove the bulk of it making it easier to get to the eccentric bolt to cut it out.

will do, it feels a bit "floaty" at the moment and no where near as planted as expected. 90k miles and was noted in a vehicle inspection back in 2018 "de-bonding" of inner and outer bushes front and rear lower arms so starting with the obvious. I can t get over the phenomenal costs.
Well got everything ordered, "coffins" and all the track control arms for front and rear. After shopping around on the internet the total cost was £493.91. Shocks, springs top mounts bearing and bump stop look OK.
So busy weekend ahead (as long as it doesn't snow.
Visually inspecting shocks doesn't give any indication of how knackered they are unless they're leaking. Changed all 4 on mine and it transformed the car. Even trying to operate the rears by hand once removed felt like they were in good condition. Handling told a different story.
