Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, My nearside headlight has become loose (almost fell out) on the mounting plate inside the wing, looks like someone has previously broken it, and having removed it looks like the end the tool fits on thats used to unlock/lock the headlight has broken or rounded off[ ]. Currently held in with gaffa tape - not good! Can you repair and purchase parts to repair or do I have to but a new headlight mounting plate at £mega? PET shows the parts seperately 26, 23,22,27 & 21

POST 2Original post

Hi Porka. I had this same problem on my c4s. the fixing bar for the o/s headlight was not locking in because the tool in the kit had rounded off. I got by using a 1/4" drive 5mm hex socket instead. Good luck - Mike

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post
