A little back story.
I bought a used 2006 Cayman S out of Naples, Fl. It came with an aftermarket Tubi exhaust. I do not have the original exhaust. At about 6,000 miles the CEL came on and stayed on. The dealership replaced the cats and everything was fine for about a day. Then the light popped on again. Back into the shop it went, and Porsche of Austin says "oh, it's this aftermarket Tubi exhaust. Even though we sell them, everyone has problems with it."
They also charged me $120 because "there's nothing to be done, replace the old exhaust." Now, I happen to like the Tubi, and the factory exhaust is rather expensive. I also have a sneaking suspicion this isn't the problem at all, and the light will keep coming on regardless.
The code I'm getting is P2195. It comes on most often after I've been sitting at a light or waiting for something and accelerate to leave. There seems to be no rhyme or reason, but its happening more often now, and sometimes when I'm just crusing down the highway. I seem to be clearing this about once a day on average.
Ideas? I'm loathe to take it back to the shop, because I don't want to waste another $120, but I suspect that the O2 sensors are bad or some other thing that is unrelated to the exhaust.
I have 7K miles on mine and no problem. I have not heard of any other issues with the Tubi except that some people don't like the aggressive sound and cabin resonance. Do you have aftermarket headers as well? I may be mistaken but I think the CAT sensors are located in the headers only so the Tubi should have no effect on the CAT sensors -- unless there is some backpressure issue or something. Maybe some of the other Tubi owners in Austin can chime in about their experience but I suspect the shop guy was too quick to point at an aftermarket exhaust as the problem.
2195 is not the CAT code it is something else, but I forget what, I think ArcticSilver had that code before, check with him!

02 sensor issue it seems.
Also got p0431 and p0421 today. I think it's a bad 02 sensor, but how do I convince the dealer of this? I'm still pissed they just wrote off the entire thing to my non-stock exhaust and charged me $120.
Well, you could suggest that they replace the O2 sensor. And if it fixes the problem, it's under warranty. And if not, then you will pick up the tab.
That way the dealership is covered either way.
Isn't the Tubi just a cat-back exhaust, or do you have aftermarket headers as well? I don't see how your dealer can argue that an after-market exhaust downstream from the sensors and cat can cause the problem.
From my searching the P2195 code is apparently for O2 Sensor Signal Stuck on Lean. The P0431 is a Cat efficiency problem (I know because my 06 CS recently started throwing it and my dealer just ordered replacement cats for mine today).
