I'd have thought the top bearing mounts on the struts would make a squeek, I've had issues with mine when turning around on the drive, sounded awful, that however was because I had lowered it and cleaned the rubbers drying them out /rolleyes!

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

No more jokes please!!! I need need some serious help here (Hence to new post title) When i turn the steering I can here a squeaking noise from the front. It is not coming from the engine. It happens when i quickly turn the steering and is more evident when the car is not moving and the wheel is turned. ie reversing out of my drive. Any ideas?

POST 2Original post

Is the noise coming from tyres? I think something like that is quite common - I certainly have experienced it. Those wide tyres tend to scrub a little while reversing and turning, particularly on full lock. DJ

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the response, No its not the tyres. 100% sure its related to the steering

POST 4Original post
