Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

I have a CS with an instrument cluster that has red background and black numbers. It is impossible to see or read the gauges in the daytime because of the lack of contrast. At night with the instrument lights on it is fine. There is no way I know of to get these lights on during the daytime even with the lights turnesd on because of the automatic diming feature. Porsche must be aware of this problem by now, and I hope they will do something about it. Does anyone know how to pressure them or motivate them to do something soon? A solution to this problem would be to find a way to turn on the dash lights whenever the ignition is on. Anyone know how to do this?

POST 2Original post

I beleive they have changed the Black numbers to White on the red gauges. That was what a Prosche Rep told me a few weeks ago.

Porscha1VW, I don't believe there is any way through PIWIS to force your dash lights to stay on all the time. A lot of people who got the red guages originally changed them because of the same issues you're having. The only thing I can think of is to always leave your headlights on and put something over the small round light sensor in the dash. Like a little small opaque sticker. And I'd try pm'ing Scott Slauson (PCA-TECH) because he is very fluent with the PIWIS machine and might even have a way to disable the light sensor and thus whenever your headlights are on, you will always have the interior lights on. - Suneet
