Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

I let my low fuel light come on before stopping for gas yesterday. I put in about 1/2 a tank and since then, my needle keeps moving towards empty and the low fuel light has remained on. Yes, I made sure the gas cap was on correctly I am figuring that the float in the tank is stuck? I made the front of the car bounce around to see if it unsticks the float and I have also pumped in a few more gallons of gas. Neither fixed the problem. Any clues? thanks!

POST 2Original post

I believe tank contents are measured capacitively (i.e. electronically). Sounds like, if it doesn't clear up RSN, it's dealer visit time. (Yup, checked the parts catalog. No float.)

POST 3Original post

Fill the tank completely and see if that clears things up... if not, you'll need to take it into the dealer and have them look at it. brad

POST 5Original post

Unhook your battery, the electronics might reset and solve the problem. It is surprising how many electrical problem can be solved just by doing a reboot.
