Initially thought it was the door panel, but then I discovered if I pressed on the key, it wouls stop buzzing (faint buzz like a fly flapping its wings).

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

Most of the time when I am driving the ignition mechanism is buzzing - resonating. i can stop it by simply placing my finger on it. I am sure that a dealer will be able to fix it, but I am womndering. Has this been encountered before, and maybe the fix is simpler than warranted by a trip to the dealer... Anyone?

POST 2Original post

I have the same problem, but have been much too lazy to take the car in to the dealer so far.

POST 3Original post

I also have the same problem, for over a year now. Initially thought it was the door panel, but then I discovered if I pressed on the key, it wouls stop buzzing (faint buzz like a fly flapping its wings). Intend to have the ignition changed when I go for my service.
