hi all, I purchased my new CS (meteor gray with preferred package) this past week and have been really enjoying the new ride. However, I wanted to check with you guys to see if you had any weird initial sounds when turning the steering wheel? It's quite loud and I can't tell if it's because of the newness or what but I've never had this issue with past cars before. Pls help! thanks

Congrats on your CS--enjoy. If the noise is a high-pitched squeak it could be the strut towers. Mine made this sound, dealer pretty much fixed it though it is now occurring occasionally again so I'll bring it back. I read about this problem on a couple other threads, also a 911 board. The problem seems to have always been fixed eventually but it sometimes took a couple of tries.

I'd take it to the dealer ASAP; you don't want to risk driving a car with questionable steering. What you described doesn't sound normal.

steering squeeks my '07 S sometimes squeeks when I turn the steering wheel like it is a dry fitting or plastic rubbing somewhere. there isn't any other adverse symptom and I am concerned about something mechanical that might be binding.
