Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Apologies if it's a stupid question, but I'm having the front shocks replaced at the upcoming MOT (small leak on OS front) previously, so will I need to have a geometry check done afterwards (or is it advisable)?

Although if I had any suspension part changed I'd be getting it checked.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Apologies if it's a stupid question, but I'm having the front shocks replaced at the upcoming MOT (small leak on OS front) previously, so will I need to have a geometry check done afterwards (or is it advisable)? Indy says everything else suspension wise looks ok.

POST 2Original post

If the top mounts are removed then yes. Although if I had any suspension part changed I'd be getting it checked. Free of charge at you local kwik-fit.

POST 3Original post

Does a quick fit alignment include camber? I know places like ATS state 4 wheel alignment then in the small print at the bottom it mentions toe only any camber adjustment is an additional charge.

POST 4Original post

Kwik fit check everything for free. Any adjustments you pay for depending on how many.

POST 5Original post

Imho a geo check is best every few years regardless of work done .. Potholes etc can alter the settings and with the cost of tyres let alone handling then i feel its one area that is not done enough . Front shocks and the garage should be doing it regardless .

As ever, many thanks you knowledgeable people!
