Has anyone had issues where the passenger window "jumps" on startup. And yes, I did a search. I just took delivery of my car a few weeks ago and it took me a while to figure out where the noise was coming from on startup. When I first start the car the passenger window sounds and feels like its trying to move. I've tried looking from the inside and outside to verify the window is all the way up. Any ideas?
There is a procedure described in the manual about resetting the windows. Perhaps yours needs that? There is also this:

Its normal, search this site re it.
I did a search and didn't find anything on windows jumping on startup. The manual says something about storing end position of the windows on page 35, but it says after the battery is disconnected and reconnected and talks about the window not going up when the door is closed. As far as I can tell the window goes down and up when the door is opened and closed. Is there something else in there I've missed?
Thanks for the link Santa Fe, I'll try what they have listed for resetting the system and we'll see how it works.
Let us know. Hopefully you can avoid a trip to the dealer.
Passenger Window Startup Noise
I believe I had the same problem. Received car in Jan 07 with no noise. In the last week or so I noticed when I turned key to start the car there was a noise from the passenger window. It sounded the same as when you pull on a door handle to exit the car - but I never noticed the window to move. I tried the proceedure: key on, run both windows down and up then cycle key on/off 3 time. Noise is now gone.
I tried the methods listed in the other threads Santa Fe listed, but with no luck. I'll have to try Beach Crocs now and will let you know.
It's normal
A small amount of window movement when you first start the car is normal. I went through all of this last November, when I first noticed it with my CS --
details in this thread
.
What happens is that the car moves both windows about 1/16" when you use the remote to unlock/disarm the car. This is intended to "prepare" the windows in case you yank the door open too fast for the motor to drop the window the normal amount. When you get in the driver's door and shut it, the window goes all the way back up. But, if no one gets in the passenger side, that window won't go all the way back up until you start the car.
Thanks for the explanation.
This is great. You just saved me a call to my dealer. Thanks....!
