Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Anyone have a problem with this when its raining, basically the wipers are fine for the first say 5 mins, then the right one starts juddering across the windshield, any ideas? and its with constant rain so its not because there isnt enough water on the window.

POST 2Original post

Couple things come to mind: 1. You should change your wiper blades once a year, usually at the beginning of the rainy season 2. Use a good glass automotive glass cleaner, and only wipe the windows with a dedicated micro towel. When you wash your car, do not use the same micro towel to dry the painted surfaces and the windows. You will transfer wax. Hope this helps.

POST 3Original post

thanks crocman, the car is only 3 months old and it doesnt rain that much here so i dont think they have been overused, and the service dept has said there is nothing wrong with them. He mentioned that you occasionally have to spray them with soap to keep them lubricated when its raining, but ive never had to do that with other cars. Ill try and wash the windows as you said with a seperate towel and see how we go.

POST 4Original post

That must be VERY ANNOYING! It sounds like you got wax or grease on them. Thee is something on the glass that makes it grab then jump.

POST 6Original post

Change the wiper blades and always wash windows with a mix of vinegar and water, wiping with old newspaper. This keeps wax and other residue to a minimum. My Dad taught me to do this, the first car i swayed from was the CS and I switched back quickly.
