Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yorkshire > Brummy > Kent > Yorkshire. 95% motorway, normal driving (i.e. following the car in front most of the time) with the occasional full throttle before reaching the next car to follow again. Don't often do too many long trips but 30.1 mpg was better than I thought without trying to be economical. I never thought I'd see over 30mpg, if i tried to drive economically (don't know why i would though - never have so far!) I wonder what would be possible :?:

POST 2Original post

That is great.... what average speed did you get and what speed you were traveling on the motorway ? From what I have seen on mine if you put the cruise control at 70mph on the motorway then you might get even higher. The problem how do you mentally do that :? :?

POST 3Original post

For my sins, I always fall in the range 30.5 - 32.5 mpg on a run involving motorways. Peter

POST 4Original post

My 996 C2 in the 25,000 miles I did in it (including 'Ring trips and a few track days) averaged over 28mpg. The Aston, however, in 1,500 miles is hovering around 20mpg, but this is still better than I expected

POST 5Original post

Last year when we all went to the Ring, I got an average of about 28 mpg for the trip over which included the trip from Yorkshire to Folkestone, then onto the Ring from Calais. If you were in the same convoy we didn't hang around I can tell you. Completely miffed! :dont know:
