Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've looked at a few websites but cannot see any door sill kick plates with the "C4S" logo. Can anyone help? Many thanks.

POST 2Original post

Top Tip: Dont fit them,, I have had mine removed because of corrosion under them, I am told by OPC Cardiff that this is not unusual, and the reason it happens is becuse the sills flex and cause the paint to crack around the sill guards, I have the SS version, i do wonder if the plastic versions would cause this problem Hope that helps, anyone else seen this? Cheers Paul

POST 3Original post

I believe I've seen "carbon" ones on the Porsche Shop website. But at present I cant get on the website to confirm because the link to the Porsche Shop has gone down. Try them later or on Monday, or give Paul a ring to see what he has. Regards Big Bob :bye:

POST 4Original post

Yes, this is very common and I also believe not covered under corrosion warranty! My 03 plastic Targa plates haven't worn against the paint, but to be fair, they don't take that much of a battering!

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Door Sill Kick Plates Many thanks for the advice. Had no idea about the possible corrosion. I will check the Porsche Shop website. My old 3.2 had rubber strips on which makes more sense! Best wishes to all! CHEUNGY
