Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

A fellow has just posted on RennTech about turning 300,000 miles in his 996T. He says he is still on the ORIGINAL CLUTCH!! I was gobsmacked. http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php/topic/37767-for-the-non-believers/page__view__findpost__p__199752

POST 2Original post

Woah! That is amazing! Must be lots of long journey's sat in 6th.

POST 3Original post

Bear in mind he is from the US, probably a lot of freeway driving with very little gear changing and turns !

POST 4Original post

Yea as clarkson says its all straight lines everywhere.

POST 5Original post

.. but note he also says... "car has PCCB's and is tracked 6-10 days/year" !!!

POST 6Original post

Missed that bit tracked 6-10 times a year and 300k miles - wow

POST 8Original post

Pretty impressive stuff though. Those pistons have been up and down a few times to reach that mileage! What's the highest mileage 996t we have in this country? Perhaps we could do a dated poll?

POST 9Original post

Richard, thought my diesel Astra was doing well with original clutch at 155k..... As a former PSV (PCV) driver, we were 'taught', vehicle sympathy but that it some accomplishment! Unbelievable.....
