Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I have aftermarket turbo wheels for my turbo for use with winter tyres and the ride is appalling as the rims are so heavy compared to the original ones I use with the summer tyres.

I am looking at possibly changing the Alloys on my 996, at the moment it runs on 18" carrera 4 (Standard) and not sure whether to stay with 18's or 19's.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 2Original post

I wouldn't go for after-market as all 4 of you OEM wheels will probably weigh less the one after-market one. Unless you were thinking of mega bucks.

POST 3Original post

Aftermarket wheels tend to weigh a lot more than the standard ones and it really ruins the secondary ride of the car. I have aftermarket turbo wheels for my turbo for use with winter tyres and the ride is appalling as the rims are so heavy compared to the original ones I use with the summer tyres. The rims are about 3 kg heavier each than the original equivalent.
