Not sure how this happened, but I'm sure an employee got fired and an owner got hospitalized.

Gulf Porsche 911 GT3 RS Ends Up In Actual Gulf
I can't believe that common sense wouldn't dictate some type of guard rail at the edge of that space, not only for the cars but for people as well.
I would think that it would be required by building code... sad way to "break" in your car!
All I have to say is OUCH!!!
I wonder if they would sell it for MSRP.

Brings tears to my eyes! :helpme:
The e-brake didn't hold? As a car lover, that's a sad photo but it's just a car. No one died.
The dealers told Veldhuijzen that the car actually sustained minimal damage (another big rear-engine advantage, people: much better recovery from rolling forwards into a lake) and the car will be prepared for delivery.
Hmm, my little kiss of a snowbank did several thousands of dollars worth of damage to the outer door sills. The way that car is being hauled out, I don't see how they can prevent that much or more. I would be pretty upset if that was to be my car.
Mechanic Sacked?
I don't believe he wanted to do that.

Re: Mechanic Sacked?
I don't see any curbs. That's just asking for it to happen.
Re: Mechanic Sacked?
Where did it mention firing a technician?
A technician would be harder to replace than a Porsche 991 GT3 RS.
People make mistakes. File an insurance claim and move on.
Re: Mechanic Sacked?
Slightly used. Never tracked. Washed by previous owner.
Asking price 200,000 USD.
This car is a perfect example of how murky "diminished value" is for an insurance company - or for an insured person.
I can't believe Porsche engineers put reverse next to 1st, and then didn't design some kind of tab, button to make sure they can't be confused. But it's a true story! I almost rear-ended somebody at a traffic light in my first day with Porsche. I mean hitting his front with my rear-end.
Exactly! It's a strange photo, yes. But if they were throwing that cart away after that - I'd take in a heartbeat!
Just dust the bumper and you are good to go
Re: Mechanic Sacked?
Disagree. There are no curbs on my office parking lot or a million other lots and driveways. If I forget to set the brake and put it in gear, it could roll into the street. Unlike a PDK/auto car, you can just pull out the key of a manual car without setting the brake or putting it in "park." I like the lack of railing. Looks cool (and inviting
