Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • 911uk: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Generation: 20261026T120458Z · outcome-qualification-6. Deterministic extraction; no AI model inference. How we use sources

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I was in two minds to renew my Porsche warranty as it was before Christmas and frankly I didn't have the spare cash. Anyway somehow I found the cash and renewed my 7 year old 996TT X50 for another 12 months. Last Sunday I spotted a tiny bit of power steering fluid on the driveway (only a spot) so took it into Porsche on Monday. Monday evening I get a call asking if they can keep it overnight, three hours labour so far and still can't get to the leak, engine has to come out and there is a chance it won't be covered under warranty The phonecall came and I jumped for joy when she said there isn't a bean to pay  I asked her the value of the claim (as you really want to know if you are getting your moneys worth) and he sad £2200. RESULT! :thumb:

POST 2Original post

That was a close call, Porsches do have a habit of emptying your pockets every now and again

POST 3Original post

Did you find out exactly what was leaking ?? I had some power steering line seals replaced under wtee after i had some oil leaking... was a fairly cheap and easy fix for them, certainly not an engine out job.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
