Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

14 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Not that it would ever affect me in any way, but Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?

POST 2Original post

Is that the limited, numbered production premium?

POST 3Original post

Limited numbered car. Remember the 2010 Sport Classic? only 250 cars with same motor as GTS, ducktail, faux Fuchs, etc. but much higher price and sold out quickly. Not sure of current values. But it's a established Porsche marketing approach. Not saying it makes sense, but not a new idea. Oh, and MT only which addresses some of the criticism of the GT3/RS, except it seems mostly 918 owners will get a chance to buy the 911R.

POST 4Original post

Looks to me like Porsche is charging nearly $10,000 to leave the RS wing (that Chris Harris was so enamored with) on the shelf in the factory instead of installing it on the car. Eff that.

POST 5Original post

New 6MT with close gear ratios (and they said long gears made sense...) although the R&D will be reused for next gen GT3 supposedly, new underbody diffuser (removing need for wing, although designed to not have as much downforce as the GT3/RS), custom steering wheel, custom carbon fiber body parts, limited number plate = $$$.

POST 6Original post

Try getting either of these cars for under 200k. It aint going to happen. GT3RSs are selling at premium just like the 911R will.

POST 7Original post

Economics 101 ... Numbered car. Flagship model NOT a track car but intended for daily driving (I assume no R compounds OEM) And ... Because they can. This model was discussed two years ago. It didn't just appear yesterday. All the buyers knew about it and had their orders in then.

POST 8Original post

Well they are putting in all the expensive extras by default. Of course they don't allow you to drop any of them. I would say the pricing is a bit extreme. Particularly compared to the vanilla GT3 which I think was quite fairly priced.

POST 10Original post

and don't forget, recalibrated steering unique to R, and suspension from GT3 for driving enjoyment and feedback on public roads (not specialized for track use as GT3RS is) and also plastic rear window and new carbon fiber front fenders, titanium exhaust, 4.5 kg of insulation removed, single mass light weight flywheel. Dry weight 1250 Kg, wet weight all fluids and full fuel tank 1370 Kg, 70 Kg lighter than GT3.

POST 11Original post

Also has the lifter kit as standard, all things which you usually pay extra for on a GT3RS, so actually option to option the GT3RS would still be more

POST 13Original post

Ok i've decided to put my 2006 Cayman S up for sale, but not just any Cayman S, this is one with a unique 1 of 1 commemorative plaque affixed to the glove box. It also comes with the ultra rare wing delete package in combo with the smokers delete package. A special long ratio 6 speed is affixed to an ultra rare blue paint engine block. Yes a car like this is normally reserved for 918 buyers but it can be yours for a mere $100K, a bargain when compared to the much more common 911R or GT3 RS.

Those bids should be rolling in any time now... Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
