Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Started up my 996 c2 this evening and when the starter turns over the windows do their slight up and down bit (as if you are opening the door !) just before it fires up My two year old daughter was sat in the car this afternoon as i was waxing it -could she have pushed a button or done something or do i have an electrical fault ? why would the windows do their liitle jig on turn -over ? I know this is an odd one but any ideas would be greatly recieved !

POST 2Original post

How old is the battery? A failing battery causes all sorts of odd behavior with the windows, and often causes the spoiler to have a mind of it'own. There are some battery checks in the battery change DIY on the Technical Articles pages. I would start there.
