Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just filled up this morning as the needle was really really low. I used up a fair bit on the trip to whitby yesterday which was fun but a bit nervous for me and my girlfriend as it was our first club trip. Anyway i stopped in driffield for a top up of fuel yesterday and they brimmed it this morning. I worked out that i had about half a litre left when i filled up in driff. Ive never let it go quite so low i just wondered if anyone had cut it finer than that (i should add that had i actully run out of fuel it would have resulted in an 'i told you so' as the light was on all the way from malton to whitby oops[8|]).

POST 2Original post

Yep, left it so fine the car ran out 200 yards from the garage. Not advisable though as it will light up some of the displays on the dash. Cant remember which ones exactly but left me with a possible visit to porsche to delete. However, after a day or two they deleted themselves so be careful. ps....I also would have got a told you so !!! On another front, stick with the super unleaded as mixing is not always advisable.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I do normally, however i saved the massive amount of £3.60 with 6 p off a litre at morrisons last month.

POST 4Original post

Ran out in the 928 once, about a mile after the range got to zero. Supposed to be a bad thing to do as it makes the pump run dry for a while? Some cars indicate low fuel by faltering on corners. On the 928 a right hand corner does it, on the Suzuki left hand. Tim

POST 5Original post

What was the range meter reading? I did a top gear style challenge when I first picked my car up and tried to drive from North Cumbria to Plymouth on 1 tank. Did it even with some spirited driving (I couldn't resist) but at the end I was getting a rather nervous as it stopped at 8miles range and just turned to --- on the display. Did about 5 more miles at 50mph in 6th to reach my destination. I didn't get any sign that it was about to run out but doing so was probably the cause of an oxygen sensor fault logged in the ECU. I had the sensor replaced when the car was serviced so we'll never know if it was faulty or a one off log caused by dirty fuel but I probably wouldn't recommend running it quite that low! Never really let it go under 1/2 tank after that.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

It does annoy me that the range finder doesn't go lowerthan 10 as in my opinion thats when you need it most[ ].
