Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

MY 996 had the -10mm suspension factory fitted by the guy who bought it from new.
Leading evidence: 'Install by the guy who bought it' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Install by the guy who bought it' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

How funny, I got the exact same email today! I think it's M030 due to the lowering height and costs. It's not good value for money though. A friend got the X74 suspension kit (30mm lowering) and fitting all for under £1800 IIRC from Jaz in Wembley.
You could source the kit for less and get a decent labour rate if you shop around... :thumb:
Hmm I think it's -20mm.
MO30 front dampers also have a softer rebound than the standard setup.
Must admit I quite like it. On some surfaces you notice that it's firm, especially at the rear and when going over badly finished cable routes that traverse the road, but at no time will you find it uncomfortable.
I used to own a 5 series (E39) Sport. I had to sell it after 6 months because the ride was so uncomfortable!
Chris Franklin @ CG had in a 996 on the hoist when I was over there the other week. I'm sure he said he'd just bought in a complete MO30 kit for around £450 direct from Porsche to fit to it; definitely worth talking to Chris first.
Ted yes sounds like an M030 with the lowering values quoted for your MY of car, you'll want to go lower though so go for X74 (30mm) or just get some lowering springs.
You will need a geo as well.
£1600 sounds expensive when the parts are about £600 incl VAT

You can get the official Porsche M030 kit for c.£550 (which I think is great value). Try design911 or porscheshop. I paid £240 for geometry, and £550 for fitting the kit and 2 new front control arms (which were £280 from hartech). The look and the feel of the car was transformed, very happy with the result.
Thank you, found them on the Porsche Shop site.
I am just a bit confused that they can fit a C2 or C4 ? I have a C4 with tiptronic & they say its suitable for all models. I thought that the C4 would have different front struts & the roll bars would be specific thicknesses for the extra transmission weight ?

MY 996 had the -10mm suspension factory fitted by the guy who bought it from new. The car corners like it's on rails with minimal (or no) body roll at all. The ride is slightly firmer than normal but this is not uncomfortable and only adds to the solid feel of the car when cornering. The wheels also "fit" in to the wheel arches that little bit better too!
Pics of the car are here:
