Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Hey guys I had placed an order for the 991 already so it is time to think about the color combination. just want everyone's thoughts on color choice.... I had a great looking black car, but NEVER EVER again. It is impossible to keep clean. Not big on red, silver, and the lime gold. I would consider white, the blue from the German catalogue, or one of those new grays. I’ve been to the showroom recently; the 997 left in my local dealer are GTS and cabriolet are both white with black leather interior and look stunning. However, since earlier 90” all the cars I own are black interior, I preferred to make some change this time. I am nor sure about the white with beige since not seeing much of this combination. The blue from the German catalogue with beige interior looks also beauty, is it dark blue or aqua blue? Although the beige interior looks more elegance, it will looks like 20 years old after just 2 years of use concern me. My question is................. what color combination of exterior and interior is the right choice..... not that I want my to car to stand out like a sore thumb, but you want it to have the presence it deserves and the price that it is.,.... so what is everyones thoughts on this?

POST 2Original post

Hmm...yellow with guards red interior. :hilarious:

POST 3Original post

Obviously there's no one "right" choice. From my experience it's hard to beat a black leather interior in a sports car. Black also goes with most exterior colors. As far as exterior colors are concerned you need to decide what you can live with in terms of your own temperment and the local sense of the socially acceptable.

POST 4Original post

I have grey with natural leather. Attractive combination and a bit unusual IMO and neither color shows dirt quickly. I initially went with beige but changed to natural brown because I was concerned about beige's ability to look good over the long haul. In the end this is your decision to make, but it may not be an easy one because there are many very attractive combinations.

POST 5Original post

thanks all you guys reply Dark Blue seems to be on the top list at this moment. It looks very good from the German catalogue. Since everybody love Black leather interior, how about carrara white/black interior with red seat belts plus trim strip panel, PCM board, door finishers painted with white

POST 6Original post

I was hoping that someone would get a creme one. I bet the CS or CR would be killer in that combo.

POST 7Original post

Here is a link to a thread with pics of my two-toned black/gray interior with deviating black floormats, silver seatbelts and aluminum hand brake and gearshift lever. The pics are in post #40. It's in a Ruby Red Metallic car but would look equally good in any of the gray cars. http://www.planet-9.com/cayman-boxster-chat/60070-based-appearance-only-interior-looks-best-2.html

POST 8Original post

saw one Cayenne with cream interior. not sure about the 991, did not see this option from the German catalogue

POST 10Original post

Pratas, There's many beautiful combinations available and you have plenty of time to think carefully about it and make the right decision....! My thoughts would be, consider the Carrara white exterior, looks fab, and take as interior color (as you're not keen on black again) something darkish but slightly off-the-wall like red or cocoa. Otherwise, some of the darker grey Porsche colors are real classic looking, which you could match with a lighter interior, beige for example. Could well be that the 991 is launched with its own one-off special-color, as in Peridot for the CR, I would consider waiting to see if that is the one for you. In general, get a look at as many cars "in the flesh" as possible prior to your final decision, the "real" color is never the same as what you get in a photo. All the best with your wonderful dilemma.....

POST 11Original post

Some past cars I have seen that have stuck in my mind as being awesome looking.... White with blue interior, lots of carbon fiber. Beautiful, something you just have to see. White with black, black wheels, interior trim pieces painted, red belts, etc. Dark Blue with natural grey leather, interior painted pieces. Ruby Red with natural brown leather. Actually after seeing the configurator I'm a bit disappointed in the exterior paint colors from Porsche for the new model. Lime-Gold metallic?,....two brown tints? Bring back Polar Silver, Dark Teal, Satin Black, Iris Blue and other great colors from the past.
