Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

This is slightly irrelevant for vehicles with OPC warranty remaining, as anything checked will be covered prior to renewal anyway.
Leading evidence: 'Check will be covered prior' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check prior' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Suggestion
Thought you would get OPC 111 point check prior to purchase (to indentify any faults) and then warranty 90 days after purchase

Suggestion
As for 111 point check, the delay between check and warranty inception is a maximum of one month, and only if the vehicle already has a warranty running to inception.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

How does Porsche warranty work?
How long can it run for?
If I buy from a Specialist can they provide this?
How old can the car be?
Must it have a full OPC history?
Is this warranty still valid if I
then
use an Indie?
What does it cover and what are the general terms and conditions?
Any help would be gratefully received cos' I know nothing :nooo: about this subject. :?:
1. Car must have original parts for warranty to be issued, car must be to their standard before issued.
2. 1yr however you can buy 2yr at a slightly discounted rate.
3. No, you can after 90days take it to OPC to get the inspection and then once cleared you can purchase the warranty. Inspection cost included in warranty if you take it.
4. 9yrs old
5. I think the last service must be done by an OPC
6. No
7. It's more comprehensive than the old style warranty but of course does not cover wear and tear.
If you do a search I am sure you will find more detailed info
3. Thought you would get OPC 111 point check prior to purchase (to indentify any faults) and then warranty 90 days after purchase
6. As far as I am aware you only need use the OPC for the annual service, other items can be done by Indie
The car must be 9 years or less old and less than 100,000 miles
This actually allows almost 11 year old vehicles to still be under warranty (as technically your can take out two years when the car is 8 years and 11 months old)
You may not do this piecemeal though - ie if at 8y11m you only take 1 year warranty, renewal is not possible for the second year as it would fail the first condition.
However, a two year warranty is a single contract so it is valid.
As for 111 point check, the delay between check and warranty inception is a maximum of one month, and only if the vehicle already has a warranty running to inception.
Any use of 111 point check as a PPI is entirely your choice. It will not be accepted as basis for warranty as a new owner must have owned the vehicle for 90 days prior to submitting the car for a warranty check. This assumes the car has no OPC warranty, if current OPC warranty runs out next month etc 90 day rule does not apply.
This is slightly irrelevant for vehicles with OPC warranty remaining, as anything checked will be covered prior to renewal anyway.
In theory, if no warranty is already in place, the warranty must start immediately check is done. On practice this is "within a reasonable time". The problem is that if anything goes wrong between check and inception it will not be covered.
Hi
I am in the process of buying a c4s cab, i would like a porsche warranty. Is the new type warranty transferable? could i get the previous owner to put the warranty on and then transfer it to me?
cheers
