Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 2Original post

I'm looking forward to this thread. Hoping you get some interesting pics. I have a seal grey '02 C2, with standard wheels. I'm considering having them powder coated or painted gold as I really like the style, but want to have them look different. Curious to see what others have done.

Thats really nice stance you have going there, Im really tempted to get a set of these, they look good for the same reasons the originals do.

Two-tone black wheels are hard to beat.

POST 30Original post

Quotes source post: 17065117

Agreed. You really have to see these in person to appreciate them. I have been considering refinishing these wheels at the end of next year when I'll need to replace the tires. Possibly going to polished barrels with dark gray/charcoal centers. I've got all winter then all of next driving season to figure it out. We'll see

POST 31Original post

Quotes source post: 17065172

The 996 lends itself well to polished barrel/dark center wheels. I may start searching for the same wheel as you for a future change. I may re-do mine in a soft gold (like late model OEM) this winter to mess around. If I don't like I can always go back to black, helps to be part owner of a powder coating business!

03 4S at VIR. Anyone have stripes other than black?

POST 33Original post

I had the stock wheels painted black within a few months of buying this car from a RL-er. It was a great move as now when they get dirty, they look matte black.

Im usually not a fan of black wheels, but the side-shot of your car has changed my mind. Those wheels and the matching decklid pair so well with your paint. The subtle contrast is beautiful.

Oddly enough I don't either but black TEs are the exception for me.
