Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have noticed over the last few weeks that the drivers door mirror seems to vibrating a little. Does not seem to be getting worse, but not as tight as the passenger side. I was just wondering how do you tighten it back to the body? Stuey

POST 2Original post

Is it the mirror cover that's loose, or the whole mirror? If it is just the cover - pull off the mirror glass, and you will see 3 torx screws which hold the cover onto the mirror mechanism. If it is the whole mirror, then unclip the triangular cover which holds the switch, and tighten the 3 screws behind it. The cover clips off from the bottom, and then pull it downwards to disengage it from the top.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Richard, The whole thing vibrates, but only slightly (but it was getting worse). Took it apart from inside car & found that only had 2 torx screws holding it in place - bottom left missing. Put new screw in place & seems all ok now - vibration gone. To be honest I think this screw has always been missing since I've had the car, as it has always had a small vibration on the mirror, but now it seems to have gone.[ ] Thanks again stu
