Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

looks like a previous repair ( to be honest i couldn't see signs of one ) and the bonding was not fitted ( seam sealant basically ).

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

A bit of a strange leak which might also affect the odd 997 Cab .. water in the rear of the car and under the cab roof . Removed the rear carpet and water was found at the very back .. there are emergency drain tubes in the far right / left corners .. that's where the water was . I removed the base seal , rear carpet and water tested .. water was running out between the bodywork seams just behind the CTL hinge on the o/s . There was no bonding between the seams which there should be .. looks like a previous repair ( to be honest i couldn't see signs of one ) and the bonding was not fitted ( seam sealant basically ). A correct repair would have written the car off so i was left to improvise . Opened the seams a bit .. cleaned off the metal as best as possible and shot Tiger seal in between the seams .. at the drain ports i added some more and with a spatula pushed it back into the seam area . All done and clamped and let it go hard to about 75 % .. then released the clamp and left to harden . Ok so may be a one off .. But .. i have seen water in this area on other cars by the drain tube .. i'm wondering if more cars have had issues in this area as logically there is no way water can get here unless its via this seam . Anyways .. yet another area for Cab owners to have a look at !
