Suggestion

Is it possible to check the Coolant Heat Senor or is it just better to replace it as the engine behaviour suggest that the ECU thinks the engine is cold.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

My 997 C2 has just had an engine rebuild and is showing signes of overfueling on both sides. There are no errors recorded and the MAS has been changed with no affect. Is it possible to check the Coolant Heat Senor or is it just better to replace it as the engine behaviour suggest that the ECU thinks the engine is cold. __________________ This post was auto-generated based upon a question asked on our tech article page here:

POST 2Original post

The instrument cluster should show you the temperature as recorded by the coolant temperature sensor. Is it somewhere in the 180 F range when warmed up?? What signs are you seeing? That sensor when bad usually sets a fault and causes a no start when warmed up, and trying to restart. - Casey
