Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I am in the process of writing a book about the 996 - something a bit more comprehensive than the Driver's Handbook - due for publication later this Autumn.
I can photograph most things on my car, but from time to time there will be one or two pictures I need, and would be grateful if some of you out there could help.
The pictures need to be taken in daylight if possible, and need to be a minimum of 2048x1536 pixels, with a resolution of 300dpi. Most modern compact digital cameras can cope with this.
First up is a photo of the clutch fluid reservoir on a manual transmission Turbo model. Most of you may not even know of it's existence, but it is very easy to get at. You need a Torx T20 driver or bit, to remove the single screw holding the panel, and underneath you will see the reservoir with a green top. The diagram below shows where it is located. Thanks
I'd love to help but: a) I don't have a turbo and b) I don't have a digital camera lol, other than that ask away
In all seriousness I do have an old digital camera, it's a 3mp I think, but I'd need to dig it out and find some batteries and see if it still works and whether the quality was acceptable.
Don't have a turbo [
] so can't help you on this one. If you want any photos of a manual 4S Cab, though, do email me as I'd be more than happy to help.
]Ill certainly be treating myself in that case Richard. That's brilliant stuff Richard your certainly the one to write it. If you need any pics of a turbo with aerokit I'd love to help out or come visit Well done again. Want mine signed though [

Got the digital camera x2 zoom lenses etc but not lucky enough yet to own a turbo. However, ask away for 996 photos on the C2 model and i'm sure i can deliver, Good luck with the book, David E
Richard, Happy to take picture if required, but I note that it is actually on the left hand side on a RHD Turbo. I know that, because I have to clean up the excess fluid sometimes. Cheers charlie
OK chaps, I've been slogging away at the book all week, and need a couple more piccies. First is one of the oil filler cap and dipstick on a Carrera as per the thumbnail: (Specs and email info in Post #1 of this thread)
Hi, just joined PCGB a few weeks ago (despite having my 911 for over a year now); this photo any good for you? It's from a magazine photoshoot my car was used in last year, not sure if you would be able to use it or if there are any copyright issues but the photographer gave me a DVD with copies of all the photos on so I assume I'm ok to post them up...
