Quick trivia question: When did the 987 ditch the front foglights and get LED DRL? I initially though that this was the same as with the 997 (the 997.1 had fog lights and the 997.2 got the LED DRL). But this is obviously not the case with the 987.

Guessing all LEDs came in with both 987.2 and 997.2 -- but I couldn't be sure, @Hatzenbach . You might want to check the part numbers in the parts fiche - as I assume they'd be different for halogens vs LEDs.

I wish it was that easy. But I ran into several instances of 987.2 with fog front lights - it's a bit weird. Yeah maybe it's a Litronics vs. Halogen thing

My 2010 987.2 Cayman with halogen headlights also had halogen fogs. I suspect led fogs started with the 981 .

But - bet it had LED running lights (the thin strip at the top of the fog light housing..) I've been giving thought to swapping my highbeam halogens and maybe the fog-light ones to LEDs - although with the fog-lights that might be worthless since they are never used..
